America First Jazz Dancers Hold Dance Clinic

SALT LAKE CITY – The America First Jazz Dancers are hosting a Junior Dance clinic on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Zions Bank Basketball Center.

The two-hour clinic will begin at 2 p.m. and is open to youth ages 5-15. The participants will learn dance moves from five of the America First Jazz Dancers, as well as a dance routine that they will perform on the home floor of Vivint Smart Home Arena prior to the Jazz vs. Brooklyn Nets game. Tipoff for the game is at 7:30 p.m.

Registration is available at www.utahjazz.com/juniordancer. The clinic will be limited to 100 youth.

For $65, participants will receive:

· Admission to the two-hour clinic

· Three tickets to the Utah Jazz vs. Brooklyn Nets game

· One Utah Jazz junior dance clinic t-shirt

· Pre-game performance on the home court of the Utah Jazz

· Meet-and-greet with the America First Jazz Dancers

· Opportunity to purchase additional tickets at a discounted price

The America First Jazz Dancers are entering their 23rd year of entertaining Jazz fans. Under the direction of Jan Whittaker, the group consists of 20 dancers who perform at all Jazz home games, as well as make community and charitable appearances, including school assemblies, hospital visits and fundraising events. Their style is athletic and energetic and features a variety of popular jazz, funk and character-type dance routines.
