The Salt Lake Bees announced today the broadcast schedule for its 2015 Pacific Coast League baseball season. All 144 regular-season Salt Lake Bees games will be broadcast on The Zone Sports Network (1280 AM/97.5 FM) and five games will be televised on KJZZ 14. The Zone Sports Network will also broadcast 90 games of the Los Angeles Angels, the parent club of the Triple-A Bees. Angels’ games will air on 97.5 FM, with the Angels’ broadcast team of Terry Smith and Mark Langston. Smith has been with the Angels since 2002 and is entering his sixth season as the Angels lead play-by-play radio announcer. Langston pitched 16 seasons at the Major League level and has been an on-air analyst with the Halos since 2012. The Triple-A affiliates of both 2014 World Series teams bookend the five Saturday night KJZZ 14 televised broadcasts. The televised schedule starts against the Sacramento River Cats, the Triple-A affiliate of the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants, on April 18 and concludes against the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, on Aug. 15. Other games appearing on KJZZ include May 23 vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox and June 6 and June 27 vs. Albuquerque Isotopes. All five KJZZ 14 games will be broadcast in high definition (HD) for the third consecutive year to bring the beauty of Smith’s Ballpark to homes throughout the region. “KJZZ 14 and The Zone Sports Network are top-quality broadcast partners, and we are excited to have their radio and television coverage of the Bees this season,” said Bees General Manager Marc Amicone. “It is an added bonus to have local radio coverage of our Major League affiliate in our marketplace. We have a great relationship with the Angels and this broadcast arrangement further demonstrates the connection between the two teams.” 1280 The Zone (1280 AM) is the exclusive radio home of the Bees for the fourth consecutive season. The Bees will also simulcast select games on 97.5 FM. KJZZ broadcasts on channel 14 over the air and for Dish and DirecTV subscribers and on Comcast channels 3 (SD) and 657 (HD). Award-winning broadcaster Steve Klauke will return to the microphone for his 22nd year as the radio and television play-by-play voice for the Bees in 2015. Klauke was recognized as Ballpark Digest Broadcaster of the Year and Utah Sportscaster of the Year for his continued excellence during the 2014 season. The Bees season begins on Thursday, April 9 at Sacramento and the team returns home to Smith’s Ballpark on April 17 vs. Sacramento. Season tickets and group packages are available now by calling (801) 325-BEES (2337). Single game tickets go on sale on April 3.
