Week of Service Tradition Enriches Lives in Communities and Demonstrates Values Established by Larry and Gail Miller
SANDY, UT (April 28, 2022) – During the week of April 25-29, employees of the Larry H. Miller Company (the LHM Company) in seven western states will volunteer in their communities during the Larry H. Miller Week of Service, an annual event that honors the late Larry Miller on his birthday.
Miller, who passed away in 2009, strongly supported giving back to the communities where he did business and lived by the philosophy to “Go about doing good until there is too much good in the world.”
“I feel that it is very important to support the communities where we live, thrive, and conduct business,” said Gail Miller, owner of the LHM Company. “Our Week of Service enables us to share meaningful experiences with our fellow associates and lift our neighbors and communities across the western United States.”
The Week of Service honors the LHM Company’s focus on its values of stewardship, hard work, service, and integrity. In Utah, nearly 500 employees will volunteer at 25 service events Monday – Friday, assisting with tasks such as planting trees, trail maintenance, park clean up, and landscaping.
Service projects in Salt Lake County include: Camp Kostopulos, Utah Diaper Bank, Murray Park, Hogle Zoo, The Road Home, Lone Peak Park, Jordan School District, Wheeler Historic Farm, and This is the Place Heritage Park.
