SANDY, UT (October 7, 2016) – For the first time ever, Utah muggles and wizards will have the opportunity to experience all eight Harry Potter films in IMAX starting on Thursday, October 13, 2016 exclusively at Utah’s five Megaplex IMAX locations.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets are now available for the first time ever in IMAX for Potter lovers everywhere.  Guests will have the option to enjoy just one movie or purchase a “Festival Pass” good for as many IMAX screenings of all eight films as they would like during this weeklong, exclusive Megaplex special engagement.

“Since the early days of the Harry Potter film franchise, Utah moviegoers have set national attendance records at Megaplex,” said Blake Andersen, president of Megaplex Theatres. “We’re delighted to invite a new generation of Harry Potter fans bring their wands and dress in their house robes to enjoy the magic of Harry Potter at Megaplex Theatres.”

Each of the Harry Potter films is rated PG or PG-13 and will play in IMAX 2D at each participating Megaplex Theatres location per the general schedule below

More enthusiastic Harry Potter may purchase a non-transferable “Festival Pass” for any showing of the eight Harry Potter IMAX films at any participating Megaplex IMAX location for only $60.00.  The Harry Potter Festival Pass must be redeemed in person at the participating Megaplex Box Office prior to each showing. Due to this special engagement from the studio, no other discounts or passes will be accepted.
